Testimonials

Set out below are a number of testimonials we have received from parents who we have helped together with praise by professionals:

Mrs O, Surrey

Mrs O from Surrey reflected on the support and assistance provided following her successful appeal to the SENDIST for her daughter R:

“I would like to take the opportunity to extend our thanks for all the help and support Nabil Dance provided at such a stressful time for the family. He was able to provide me with a clear direction in order to get the relevant reports required and broke the whole process into manageable chunks so that I did not feel completely overwhelmed. Contact was maintained via phone and email and at all times Nabil was quick to respond and dealt impeccably with the many varied and heightened emotions I experienced.
His support throughout the whole process was invaluable and we will always be grateful for the part he played in helping us achieve the right school placement for our daughter. We were spared the trauma of Tribunal thanks to the hard work and diligence of Nabil and feel privileged to have worked alongside such a consummate professional.

On paper R is a very complex child and she has been at her new school a whole term now and it is evident that this was the right placement for her. I will always be grateful for the help and support we received during this process, so with heartfelt sincerity although it seems inadequate THANK YOU.”

Mrs G, London

Mrs G reflected on her successful appeal to the SENDIST and how her daughter C was doing at the special school of her choice:

“So you may appreciate how releaved I felt, not just that C’s settled in so well at school, but more importantly that her long term educational & future success is virtually guaranteed by her placement there. I am keenly aware of what an achievement this outcome has been, but also know it was a team effort & that I could not have done it without your help, encouragement & advice. We, J & I, are both very grateful for everything you have done to help us in this rather long, drawn our process. It has been well worth all the stress & effort!”

Mrs S, Brighton

Mrs S from Brighton reflected on the successful appeal to SENDIST for her grandson T and the difficulties she encountered before seeking advice:

“Everything is going well regarding T. The LEA have now contacted the school to say that he will be starting with them on the 8 September. I would like to say that we have found you absolutely invaluable to us in getting through the Tribunal process, which is very daunting when you know nothing about such things. I don’t know how we would have managed without you!

In hindsight, the only thing I wished perhaps we had known earlier was when to apply for the necessary expert reports. It would not have been so stressful as trying to get these carried out at the last minute had I realised back in February when the whole thing began that we ought to have these to support our case.
Once more, thank you for everything you have done to help us. I feel we have had an excellent working relationship with you, and you have more than put yourself out to help us on our way to what has been a very happy conclusion.”

Mr and Mrs N, Kent

Mr and Mrs N from Kent reflected on their successful appeal to the tribunal and had this to say:

“Mr. Dance’s expertise was crucial in leading us through the legal and technical minefield facing us during the SEN Appeal Tribunal procedure. Without his skill and guidance we would not have achieved a successful outcome for our child B.

Mrs K from Croydon

“This is to confirm that Nabil Dance helped us enormously when we were faced with having to attend a tribunal in order to get extra help for my son who was diagnosed with PDDNOS, autistic spectrum. We would highly recommend Nabil who was helpful, friendly, supportive and encouraging and I do not know how we would have attended the tribunal and managed the enormous amount of legal paperwork involved in our case without him. Please feel free to contact me for any further information.”

Mrs M, Essex

Mrs M from Essex sent us the below comments after receiving assustance when her daughter was unfairly excluded from her secondary school.

We were absolutely thrilled to have won our appeal to get our daughter re-instated to her school. Until your child is excluded from school you cannot begin to imagine how distressing it is – not only for your child but your whole family.

Finding the Schools Appeals website provided us with a lifeline. Being able to talk to someone who was able to explain the procedure in detail and remain impartial was so helpful. I must praise Schools Appeals recommended solicitor Laura Berman who went through our case in detail.

The whole ordeal was a nightmare, so thank-you Matt and Laura for getting us through with a positive result.

Mr Sheppard, the headteacher of a special school in Brighton made the following comments as to Nabil’s support with 4 successful tribunal cases for pupils with a wide range of special educational needs:

“I would like to express my sincere thanks to Nabil for his professionalism and support the recent tribunal cases, including four pupils from West Sussex. His advice, guidance and technical knowledge was invaluable and I am extremely grateful for everything that he did.

The four pupils concerned have now all started at Hamilton Lodge School and are settling in very well.”
